GCP Architect

Role Overview We are seeking a highly experienced GCP Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform. This role will be instrumental in driving cloud-native transformation, ensuring high availability, performance optimization, and adherence to enterprise security and governance standards. Key Responsibilities: Design, architect, and deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant solutions on Google Cloud Platform Define and implement security and governance frameworks (IAM, VPC Service Controls, data protection) Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting using Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging Plan and execute cloud migration strategies from on-premises to GCP Design and manage containerized environments using Docker and GKE Optimize cloud costs using right-sizing, auto-scaling, and FinOps practices Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Dev, Ops, Security) for seamless cloud integration Create architecture documentation (solution design, runbooks, SOPs) and mentor junior engineers Mandatory Skills (Core Requirements): GCP Architecture & Services: Strong hands-on experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery Security & Governance: Expertise in IAM, VPC Service Controls, Security Command Center, and enterprise data protection frameworks Cloud Cost Optimization: Experience in cost analysis, resource optimization, auto-scaling, and FinOps practices Containers & Orchestration: Strong proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes (GKE preferred) Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience with Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager Networking: Strong understanding of VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancing, and Cloud DNS Database & Data Platforms: Experience with Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, Bigtable, and data migration strategies Experience & Certification: 7+ years of IT experience with 4+ years in GCP cloud architecture Mandatory GCP certification (Professional Cloud Architect or Cloud Security Engineer) Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with CI/CD tools (Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) Exposure to multi-cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) Experience with serverless services (Cloud Functions, Cloud Run) Strong experience in large-scale cloud migration programs Strong stakeholder management and documentation skills Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, cloud-first environment Leadership mindset with mentoring and ownership capability High adaptability and result-oriented approach
