Senior Robotics Control Systems Engineer Location: Coimbatore, India Work Mode: Onsite Experience: 5+ Years Employment Type: Full-Time Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Robotics Control Systems Engineer to lead the design and development of industrial-grade control systems for Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), Forklift AMRs, and Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS). The role involves defining control architectures, reviewing hardware platforms, implementing industrial safety standards, and mentoring engineering teams to develop production-ready robotics solutions for warehouse and industrial automation environments. Key Responsibilities Design and develop real-time motion control systems for AMR, Forklift AMR, and ASRS platforms.Define and optimize motor control algorithms including PID, FOC, torque control, speed control, and vector control.Architect safety-critical control systems aligned with IEC 61508, ISO 13849, and related industrial standards.Develop hardware-software interface specifications for MCU, FPGA, DSP, and embedded controller platforms.Conduct technical audits and gap analysis of existing robotics hardware architectures.Establish hardware design guidelines covering EMC, thermal management, component derating, and industrial reliability.Lead integration of LiDAR, IMU, Encoders, Vision Systems, and Ultrasonic Sensors for localization and navigation.Guide implementation of Sensor Fusion, EKF/UKF algorithms, and SLAM-based navigation systems.Define control strategies for forklift functions including mast control, tilt control, load handling, and positioning systems.Develop FMEA/FMECA methodologies for safety, reliability, collision avoidance, and fail-safe operation.Collaborate with software, mechanical, and fleet management teams for WMS/ERP integration.Mentor engineering teams through code reviews, design reviews, documentation standards, and technical training programs.
