About the role
As a Principal Engineer, you will lead the architecture and delivery of enterprise-grade blockchain and digital asset platforms within a regulated banking environment. Your deep expertise in distributed ledger technologies, digital asset platforms, custody, settlements, and enterprise-scale banking architectures will be crucial for this role. Key Responsibilities: - Lead architecture and delivery of enterprise blockchain and digital asset platforms - Own system design across client channels, APIs, middleware, blockchain layers, custody, and settlements - Design and deploy solutions using Ethereum, Hyperledger Besu, and Corda - Develop and oversee Solidity smart contracts, including security audits and production deployments - Implement asset tokenisation solutions including fungible, non-fungible, and hybrid assets - Support stablecoin integrations and blockchain transaction workflows - Design secure custody and key management solutions using MPC and HSM - Work on advanced cryptographic capabilities including selective disclosure and zero-knowledge proofs - Build and support cloud-native and hybrid platforms on AWS, Azure, or GCP - Drive microservices, Kubernetes, API management, and scalable distributed architectures - Support CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code implementation using Terraform and Ansible - Collaborate with banking, architecture, and engineering teams across digital transformation initiatives Required Skills & Experience: - 12+ years of engineering experience - 6+ years specializing in Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) solutions within banks or financial market infrastructures - Strong expertise in Ethereum, Hyperledger Besu, and Corda - Expertise in Solidity smart contract development and security - Experience with digital assets, tokenisation, and stablecoin integration - Deep understanding of custody platforms, MPC, HSM, and cryptographic security concepts - Strong experience with cloud-native architectures and Kubernetes - Experience with microservices architecture and API management - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code - Good understanding of banking architecture and core banking systems (Note: Additional details about the company were not provided in the job description.)
