Network Engineer L2

As a Network Engineer L2 in Mumbai with 3 years of experience, your role will involve operations, troubleshooting, and implementation. Your responsibilities will include: - Providing second-level support for complex network issues - Troubleshooting LAN/WAN/WLAN issues end-to-end - Configuring, managing, and optimizing network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls - Implementing and supporting routing protocols like OSPF and basic BGP - Handling firewall rule creation, NAT, and VPN troubleshooting - Performing network changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities - Analyzing logs, packet captures, and performance issues - Ensuring compliance with security standards and STIGs - Mentoring L1 engineers and assisting in root cause analysis - Coordinating with vendors, ISPs, and internal teams Qualifications required for this role include: - CCNA mandatory, CCNP preferred - Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills - Ability to work independently and handle escalations You should have strong knowledge of VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, OSPF, BGP, ACLs, NAT, IPsec VPN, and network security best practices. Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst (9K series preferred), firewalls (Cisco ASA/FTD, FortiGate, Palo Alto), and Wi-Fi troubleshooting is essential. Familiarity with change management and network documentation & design diagrams is also necessary.
