Project Engineering | Thermal Power

Role & responsibilities We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer (PE) to lead engineering activities for Thermal Power Plant projects, primarily Steam Turbine Generator (STG) packages. The role involves end-to-end engineering coordination from project handover by the Sales team through execution until handover to the Service team, ensuring timely delivery, technical compliance, quality, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Lead project engineering activities for Steam Turbine Generator (STG) projects. Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Instrumentation engineering teams. Review project scope, technical specifications, contract requirements, and project risks. Plan and monitor engineering deliverables to meet project timelines and quality standards. Coordinate technical discussions with customers, vendors, procurement, and project teams. Review engineering documents, technical specifications, drawings, and vendor documentation. Support major equipment procurement by providing technical evaluations. Resolve technical issues during engineering, manufacturing, and site execution. Ensure timely documentation submission, approvals, and project handover. Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, Procurement, and Quality teams throughout project execution. Required Skills Project Engineering in Thermal Power Plants Steam Turbine Generator (STG) systems Power Plant Engineering Project Execution P&IDs Thermodynamics & Rankine Cycle Engineering Documentation Vendor & Customer Coordination Risk Management Procurement Support Quality Assurance Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Preferred candidate profile 5+ years in Thermal Power, EPC, or Steam Turbine projects. Experience in project engineering or site execution of Steam Turbine Building Packages. Knowledge of STG auxiliary systems and equipment. Understanding of ASME, DIN, or EN standards. Exposure to equipment manufacturing, inspection, and quality processes will be an advantage.
