About the role
Overview The SAP S/4 HANA WM/EWM Consultant plays a pivotal role in implementing and optimizing warehouse management processes within an organization. As businesses increasingly adopt SAP S/4 HANA for their enterprise resource planning needs, the demand for experts in warehouse management and extended warehouse management (EWM) becomes paramount. This consultant is responsible for translating business requirements into SAP solutions, ensuring seamless integration and maximum efficiency in warehouse operations. The position requires a deep understanding of warehouse management principles and the ability to leverage SAP's technology to provide innovative solutions that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve service levels. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, configure, and implement best-in-class practices for warehouse operations, thereby directly contributing to the organization’s supply chain excellence and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Analyze and document client business requirements relating to warehouse management. Design, configure, and implement SAP WM and EWM solutions to meet business needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of WM/EWM with other SAP modules. Conduct system testing, including functional testing and user acceptance testing. Provide post-implementation support and training to end-users. Develop and execute data migration strategies for transitioning to S/4 HANA. Monitor and optimize performance of WM/EWM systems post-implementation. Maintain awareness of industry trends and best practices in warehouse management. Resolve complex issues related to WM/EWM functionalities in a timely manner. Create and maintain detailed technical and functional documentation. Assist in project management tasks including planning, budgeting, and scheduling. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards within warehouse operations. Participate in business process re-engineering initiatives as needed. Engage in client meetings to provide progress updates and gather feedback. Facilitate user training sessions and workshops to enhance user knowledge. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP WM/EWM consulting. Strong knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA architecture and capabilities. Experience in full-cycle implementation of WM/EWM solutions. Proven track record of successful project delivery and client engagement. Understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain management principles. Familiarity with data migration tools and techniques in SAP. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, project-based environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience in training and mentoring team members. Knowledge of integration points with other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD). Certifications in SAP WM or EWM are preferred. Willingness to travel as required for project engagements. Ability to work both independently and in a team setting. Proficient in using SAP-related tools and applications.
