Quality Assurance Engineer

Proven work experience/training in software development in any programming language (e.g., Java, C, C++, Python) Proven work experience/training in software quality assurance Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Certifications in the related field are a plus. Key Responsibilities Understanding the business requirements and designing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases accordingly. Maintaining, designing, and configuring software test environments. Performing or executing functional unit and manual testing. Translating user stories into test cases. Developing test scripts to perform various aspects of manual/automation testing. Review acceptance criteria for accuracy, clarity, and completeness. Performing rigorous testing by creating large data sets, back-end testing, and being able to validate information as it flows through the system. Assisting developers and project managers in debugging issues. Ensuring the quality and timeliness of delivery of testing assignments. Following the test process and continuously improving the quality of the test process. Creating customized test automation solutions based on the project s requirements is a plus. Logging issues/bugs found during the execution of test cases in the appropriate bug/issue tracking tool identified for the project. Performing both white box and black box testing Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus Re-testing and verifying the bugs/issues which are fixed. Working closely with the development/configuration team to review the implementation and provide feedback from a testing perspective. Participating in direct client discussions and daily status meetings. Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies Key Skills Required Knowledge of any Programming Language (Data Types, Variables, Operators, Flow Control Statements, methods (Built-in and User-defined), exception handling, file handling, excel file operations, database operations, and OOPS concepts). Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process Knowledge of Github.
