As a Computational Designer at Dar, you will play a crucial role in enhancing creativity, efficiency, and performance in architectural and interior projects by leveraging computational design. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing tools to optimize design workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and explore generative design possibilities. - Collaborating with architects, interior designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate computational methodologies into the design process. - Utilizing parametric modelling tools such as Rhino + Grasshopper, Dynamo to create innovative design solutions. - Creating automation solutions using programming languages like C# and Python. - Conducting performance analysis to ensure data-driven design decisions. - Developing and maintaining standards within the team to ensure scalability and efficiency. - Staying informed on emerging technologies in computational design, automation, AI-driven tools, and digital fabrication to enhance design capabilities. Qualifications and Skills required for this role include: - Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Computational Design, or a related field. - Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in computational design, architecture, or interior design. - Technical Proficiency: Parametric modelling tools such as Rhino + Grasshopper, Dynamo, programming/scripting languages like C# and Python, and working knowledge of BIM integration with tools like Revit. - Strong understanding of architectural and interior design principles, building systems, materials, and construction techniques. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while delivering high-quality results. - Preferred Skills include experience with automation and AI-driven tools, knowledge of digital fabrication, material research, computational geometry, and familiarity with collaborative workflows and data visualization.
