Job Purpose: Responsible for the design and planning of educational facilities from Kindergarten through Grade 12. Combines architectural expertise with a deep understanding of learning environments, safety, and accessibility. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the architectural design and development of K-12 schools, including classrooms, libraries, laboratories, sports facilities, and common areas. - Ensure designs comply with international building standards, local codes, and educational guidelines. - Integrate safety, accessibility, and sustainability principles into all design solutions. - Apply expertise in space planning, circulation, daylighting, acoustics, and indoor environmental quality. - Coordinate with structural, MEP, and specialist consultants (IT, security, acoustics, sustainability). - Conduct design and technical reviews to maintain quality, constructability, and regulatory compliance. - Champion innovative and future-ready school design solutions, including smart technologies and energy-efficient strategies. - Engage with educators, administrators, and stakeholders to align design with pedagogical and operational needs. - Prepare and deliver high-level design presentations, technical workshops, and approvals processes. - Mentor and develop architects and designers within the educational architecture practice.
