About the role
As an on-role IT associate, you will play a crucial role in providing first-line technical support to end-users. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation of desktop and laptop systems, applications, and peripherals. This includes troubleshooting technical issues, performing system updates, managing inventory, providing user training, and overseeing nearby remote facilities. Key Responsibilities: - User Handling: Deliver efficient technical support to end-users, addressing both hardware and software issues promptly. Maintain a professional communication style to resolve user queries and requirements effectively, minimizing escalations and fostering a positive work environment. - Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to various devices such as desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, barcode printers, barcode scanners, biometric devices, and HHDs. - System Updates: Ensure all systems are updated with the latest patches, security updates, and antivirus software to prevent unnecessary disruptions for users. - User Training: Offer training and support to end-users on software applications and best IT practices to reduce issues and enable uninterrupted workflow. - Inventory Management & Audit: Keep accurate records of hardware and software inventory, conduct regular audits of IT assets, and share reports with stakeholders. - Assets Management: Maintain quality stock of IT assets in the facility, promptly addressing any observed gaps and performing preventive maintenance to uphold quality standards. - Project Involvement: Contribute to ongoing projects, collaborate with team members, and ensure timely completion by following up with stakeholders. - Documentation: Create and update technical documentation, including user guides and troubleshooting procedures, to assist team members in resolving issues efficiently. - Extended Support: Provide support to other facilities as required, ensuring the smooth execution of IT setups and addressing ongoing issues promptly. - Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to support network, HHD, biometric, assets, and server infrastructure.
