About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Software Engineer to join our Corporate Treasury technology team. In this role, you will serve as a force multiplier, building mission-critical payment services while pioneering the adoption of agentic AI tools to accelerate the software development lifecycle. You will own the end-to-end delivery of scalable solutions and mentor the team in integrating AI-assisted engineering patterns into our enterprise-grade architecture. Key Deliverables Design and implement scalable, secure full-stack applications using Java (Spring Boot) and Python within AWS containerized and serverless environments. Integrate advanced AI tooling, including GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and Devin AI, into daily workflows to enhance architectural reasoning and autonomous task execution. Develop responsive front-end interfaces using React and TypeScript while ensuring seamless integration with relational and non-relational databases. Manage the complete software development lifecycle using GitLab CI/CD with a focus on automated testing, security scanning, and rapid value delivery. Lead the modernization and refactoring of legacy payment logic into cloud-native microservices by leveraging AI-driven automation. Act as a technical authority by mentoring engineers on effective prompting, code validation, and maintaining high standards for AI-generated outputs. Essential Requirements 4-6 years of professional software engineering experience (Associate level). Deep expertise in Java and the Spring Framework ecosystem, alongside proficiency in Python. Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, specifically React and TypeScript. 5+ years of experience working with SQL (relational) and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, Aurora Postgres, or Cassandra. 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services, including Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, IAM, and CloudFormation/CDK. Proven track record of designing and delivering RESTful APIs and microservices architectures. Demonstrated proficiency in using AI coding assistants and agentic AI tools to improve velocity and code quality. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with financial messaging standards, such as ISO 20022. Experience with MSK (Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka). Contributions to open-source AI agent frameworks or internal AI-driven automation initiatives.
