About the program EduRankAI invites applications for the position of AI Research Intern Reasoning Foundation Models to join its Frontier Artificial Intelligence Research Lab. This paid fulltime internship is designed for highly motivated students and recent graduates who are passionate about Artificial Intelligence, Foundation Models, Reasoning Systems, Large Language Models LLMs, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, AI Alignment, AI Safety, Reinforcement Learning, Computational Intelligence, and scientific research. The internship provides an opportunity to contribute to cuttingedge research focused on building nextgeneration reasoning systems and foundation models from first principles rather than simply adapting existing architectures. Interns will work alongside AI researchers, research engineers, and research scientists on realworld research problems involving reasoning, learning dynamics, model architectures, alignment, evaluation methodologies, and scalable Artificial Intelligence systems while contributing to publications, technical reports, reproducible experiments, and advanced AI research initiatives across the EduRankAI ecosystem. As an AI Research Intern, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams to investigate novel AI algorithms, design research experiments, develop and evaluate reasoning models, analyse learning behaviours, conduct extensive literature reviews, implement research prototypes, and contribute to the advancement of nextgeneration Foundation Models. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and analysing current AI research publications designing reproducible experiments implementing machine learning and deep learning models using modern AI frameworks evaluating model performance through rigorous benchmarking developing datasets, evaluation pipelines, and research tools analysing reasoning capabilities, robustness, alignment, interpretability, and learning dynamics documenting research methodologies and experimental findings preparing technical reports, internal research papers, and publicationready documentation maintaining reproducible code repositories participating in technical discussions, architecture reviews, and research seminars and collaborating with engineering teams to translate research outcomes into practical AI applications. Interns will be encouraged to take ownership of research outcomes, communicate technical findings effectively, think independently, and contribute meaningful scientific insights to ongoing frontier AI research projects. Applicants should possess a strong foundation in Python programming, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, mathematics, probability, statistics, linear algebra, algorithms, and software engineering principles. Familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, Hugging Face Transformers, NumPy, Pandas, Scikitlearn, Git, Linux, CUDA, GPU computing, distributed training, experiment tracking tools, scientific computing, research methodology, and academic writing will be considered an advantage but is not mandatory. Knowledge of Large Language Models LLMs, Foundation Models, Transformer architectures, Reinforcement Learning, Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback RLHF, RetrievalAugmented Generation RAG, AI Alignment, Explainable AI, Reasoning Systems, Multimodal AI, Diffusion Models, Agentic AI, evaluation methodologies, optimization algorithms, or opensource AI research projects will also be beneficial. Candidates with academic research, published papers, hackathons, AI competitions, opensource contributions, research internships, or personal projects involving advanced AI or Machine Learning are strongly encouraged to apply. Throughout the internship, participants will receive structured mentorship from experienced AI researchers, continuous technical guidance, research supervision, engineering best practices, code reviews, architecture discussions, publication support, and exposure to stateoftheart AI research methodologies. Interns will gain practical experience in research methodology, literature review, experiment design, reproducible AI research, technical writing, scientific communication, evaluation frameworks, collaborative research, and productionoriented AI development while contributing directly to cuttingedge Artificial Intelligence innovations. We are looking for individuals with exceptional analytical ability, mathematical aptitude, scientific curiosity, creativity, logical reasoning, critical thinking, problemsolving skills, research orientation, attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication, ownership, adaptability, collaboration, engineering discipline, integrity, and a passion for advancing Artificial Intelligence through rigorous scientific research. The internship is available to candidates across India and may be undertaken remotely or from the EduRankAI Bengaluru or NCR offices by mutual agreement. The internship may be undertaken remotely or from the EduRankAI Bengaluru or NCR offices by mutual agreement, with structured mentorship provided throughout the engagement. Interns will spend approximately five hours each day on live research projects, experimentation, engineering, technical documentation, and departmental responsibilities, along with approximately 1.67 hours dedicated to holistic well-being and personal development activities including physical fitness, mindfulness, reading, reflective learning, leadership development, and community engagement. Participants are expected to maintain professionalism, creativity, confidentiality, research integrity, engineering discipline, documentation standards, timely completion of assigned responsibilities, and adherence to organizational policies, intellectual property guidelines, ethical AI principles, and project timelines. Weekly mentor reviews, research discussions, and performance evaluations will be conducted throughout the internship. Successful completion will be evaluated based on research quality, technical competency, innovation, reproducibility, analytical ability, documentation standards, collaboration, ownership, professionalism, consistency, and overall contribution.
