About the program EduRankAI is inviting applications for the position of Security Engineering Intern to join our Security Engineering team. This fulltime internship is designed for individuals who are passionate about cybersecurity, application security, secure software development, threat modelling, vulnerability assessment, responsible disclosure, and protecting modern AI powered platforms. As a Security Engineering Intern, you will work directly under the guidance of the Principal Security Engineer while contributing to real world security initiatives across EduRankAI's engineering ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include developing threat models for live product features, performing security focused code reviews on production pull requests, identifying and validating security vulnerabilities, assisting with responsible disclosure and bug bounty triage, writing scripts to automate security tasks, implementing code fixes for identified security issues, documenting security findings and remediation strategies, collaborating with software engineers to improve application security, authoring a comprehensive security writeup at the end of the internship, and contributing to strengthening the organization's overall security posture. Applicants should possess strong analytical thinking, problem solving ability, secure coding knowledge, excellent written communication, attention to detail, collaboration skills, ethical responsibility, and the ability to work effectively in a fast paced engineering environment. Familiarity with OWASP Top 10, secure software development practices, penetration testing, Python, Go, Git, Linux, web application security, vulnerability assessment, responsible disclosure, Capture The Flag CTF competitions, threat modelling, and security automation will be considered an advantage. Prior experience with responsible disclosure or participation in CTF competitions is highly desirable. Comprehensive mentorship, structured guidance, and continuous learning support will be provided throughout the internship. The internship is Remote for a duration of three months and requires a commitment of eight hours per day, six days per week. Successful interns will gain practical experience in application security, secure code review, threat modelling, vulnerability management, security engineering, responsible disclosure, DevSecOps practices, technical documentation, and collaborative security operations while contributing directly to protecting EduRankAI's technology ecosystem.
