About the program About the Program EduRankAI is an Artificial Intelligence, Education Technology, Research, and Enterprise Technology organization developing intelligent digital platforms, enterprise software, and technology solutions for academia, industry, government, and global organizations. The Information Retrieval IR Internship provides practical exposure to search systems, information retrieval, document indexing, query processing, retrieval algorithms, semantic search, vector search, retrieval optimization, and intelligent information access systems. Interns will contribute to the development of scalable retrieval pipelines that enable efficient discovery, ranking, and retrieval of relevant information from structured and unstructured data sources. Working alongside artificial intelligence, machine learning, software engineering, data science, and research teams, interns will gain handson experience in designing, implementing, evaluating, and optimizing modern information retrieval systems while strengthening their understanding of search technologies, semantic retrieval, retrieval evaluation, and AIpowered information access platforms. Key Responsibilities Assist in developing information retrieval and search systems. Support document indexing and content organization pipelines. Implement keywordbased and semantic retrieval solutions. Assist in developing vector search and embeddingbased retrieval systems. Support query processing and search optimization initiatives. Participate in search ranking and retrieval relevance improvement projects. Assist in retrieval evaluation using standard IR metrics. Support search analytics and user query analysis. Prepare technical documentation, datasets, and engineering reports. Collaborate with AI, software engineering, data science, and research teams on live projects. Stay updated with advancements in information retrieval, semantic search, and search technologies. Perform additional information retrieval assignments as required. Weekly mentor reviews and performance evaluations will be conducted. Interns are expected to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, ethical conduct, and adherence to organizational policies.
