About the program About the Program EduRankAI is an Artificial Intelligence, Research, and Enterprise Technology organization dedicated to building foundational technologies that power the next generation of intelligent systems. Rather than focusing solely on application development, our engineering teams design and develop the core software infrastructure that enables modern computingfrom system software and programming languages to distributed AI platforms, cloudnative infrastructure, developer ecosystems, and enterprisescale software systems. The Software Engineering Internship is designed for aspiring engineers who want to build software from first principles. Interns will gain handson experience across the complete software stack, contributing to projects such as programming language design, compiler construction, runtime systems, operating system development, kernels, databases, distributed systems, networking, virtualization, cloud platforms, APIs, SDKs, software frameworks, developer tools, and scalable computing infrastructure. Depending on project requirements, interns may also contribute to the design of custom programming languages, compiler toolchains, operating system components, distributed computing frameworks, and highperformance software platforms. Working alongside software engineers, systems engineers, compiler engineers, AI researchers, infrastructure engineers, and platform architects, interns will participate in advanced engineering and research initiatives, including building Large Language Models LLMs from scratch, developing AI inference engines, agentic AI systems, machine learning infrastructure, distributed AI platforms, and enterprise software ecosystems. The internship emphasizes computer science fundamentals, systems thinking, software architecture, engineering excellence, performance optimization, scalability, security, and building technologies that serve as the foundation for future innovation. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain productiongrade software systems. Contribute to programming language, compiler, runtime, or operating system development projects. Build scalable backend services, APIs, SDKs, and software frameworks. Develop distributed systems, cloudnative applications, and platform infrastructure. Implement efficient algorithms and optimized data structures. Build and integrate databases, storage systems, and networking components. Develop tools for software automation, developer productivity, and deployment. Contribute to AI infrastructure, machine learning systems, and LLM engineering projects. Optimize software performance, scalability, reliability, and resource utilization. Perform debugging, profiling, testing, and root cause analysis. Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and engineering discussions. Write clean, maintainable, secure, and welldocumented code. Prepare technical documentation, engineering specifications, and design documents. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, AI, product, and research teams. Perform additional software engineering assignments as required.
