Software Development Engineer III

As a Java Software Development Engineer III at Entain India, you will have the opportunity to design software features in either the Back end or Front end domains. Reporting to the Engineering Manager and being part of the Product & Technology Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring systematic and efficient development through all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and deliver well-defined, moderately complex features. - Debug and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments. - Write high-quality, scalable, and reusable code following best practices. - Manage team meetings and RFC processes for proposing changes and improvements. - Be an initial on-call responder for team-managed software. - Collaborate with team members, support new junior engineers, and mentor Software Engineers. - Participate in hiring, prioritize intra-team programs, and contribute to process improvements. Qualifications: - Expertise in Java programming with modern language features and frameworks. - Experience within distributed architectures. - Proficiency in object-oriented design, algorithms, data structures, and SQL. - Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle, database management, API integration, and modern tools like Swagger. - Proficient in application monitoring, logging, version control, and software testing. - Familiarity with automation, applications, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, and secure coding practices. - Knowledgeable in Microservices, Event-driven architectures, and Agile Development principles. - Familiar with Databases like Oracle/Mongo and UI frameworks like React.
