Position: Design Assistant Manager, Job ID: 508 Location: Hyderabad Reports To: CEO Reported By: All Design Personnel Experience: : 7-9 years of hands-on experience in design CTC: Rs.7.00 to Rs.8.00 LPA Education: B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field Job Overview : The Design Assistant Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design and development of new products and tooling processes. This individual will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for managing the design team and ensuring seamless coordination between the design, tool room, manufacturing, and customer teams. The role involves utilizing advanced 3D modeling software (Creo) to develop detailed designs and 2D drawings for new parts and assemblies, as well as validating designs for manufacturability. With a focus on new product development (NPD), the Design Assistant Manager will ensure projects meet deadlines, troubleshoot design issues, and innovate new solutions for product and part development. Additionally, the position will require expertise in failure analysis, design validation, reverse engineering, and prototype preparation. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the advancement of product design and tooling processes in a dynamic industry. Key Responsibilities (KRA ): Project Management & Coordination : Oversee and coordinate design, tool room, manufacturing, and customer communication for product development. 3D Modelling : Create 3D models using Creo software for parts and assemblies. 2D Drawings : Develop detailed part and assembly 2D drawings from 3D models. Design Validation : Ensure designs are manufacturable and meet requirements. FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) : Conduct design validations and assessments to ensure product reliability. Activity Profile : Timely NPD Execution : Ensure that all New Product Development (NPD) projects meet timelines. Tool and Die Design : Contribute to the design and development of tools and dies. Product/Part Innovation : Identify new methods and designs to develop parts and products. Problem Analysis : Perform root cause analysis and initiate corrective actions for design issues in existing parts. Prototyping & Validation : Lead prototype preparation and design validation efforts. Reverse Engineering : Perform reverse engineering of products and parts for redesign or improvement. Qualifications : Educational Requirements: B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with a Diploma in Materials/Polymers (from CIPET or similar institution). Experience: Years of Experience: 7-9 years of hands-on experience in design, with a focus on product and tooling development. Preferred Industry Experience : Injection Mould Design Tool Manufacturing Industry Consumer Durables and Appliances
