About the role
Lead and oversee structural design and analysis for complex offshore structures such as jackets, topsides, FPSOs, and subsea systems Perform and approve advanced structural analyses (ULS, FLS, ALS, non-linear FEA) using tools like STAAD Pro, SACS, SESAM, and ANSYS Take full ownership of multiple project packages, ensuring delivery within schedule, budget, and quality standards Act as the final technical authority for design approvals, calculations, and engineering decisions Develop structural design philosophies, methodologies, and engineering strategies Oversee marine operations engineering, including lifting, load-out, transportation, and installation analysis Ensure compliance with international codes such as API, ISO, DNV, and AISC, and approve deviations when required Lead interdisciplinary coordination across Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, and Naval teams Interface directly with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies for technical discussions and approvals Conduct high-level design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering Mentor mid-senior and junior engineers, and drive technical capability development within the team Establish and improve engineering processes, standards, and best practices Ensure complete and accurate engineering documentation and reporting. Requirements Bachelors/Masters Degree in Mechanical /Marine /Civil Engineering 10 -15+ years of experience in Offshore / Marine / Oil & Gas projects Expert proficiency in STAAD Pro (Mandatory) Strong drafting and detailing skills in AutoCAD (Mandatory) Strong expertise in SACS / SESAM / ANSYS or equivalent advanced analysis tools Extensive experience in offshore structural design and project leadership Preferred Skills: Experience in handling large-scale EPC offshore projects Strong knowledge of fabrication, installation, and construction practices Expertise in non-linear analysis, fatigue assessment, and structural reliability Proven leadership and team management skills Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
