About the role
As an Automation Test Engineer at EY, you will be responsible for performing automation expediency, suggesting automation approaches, building automation frameworks, automating manual test cases, maintaining and executing regression tests to ensure all automation needs are met and aligned with customer expectations. Your expertise in automation tools like Selenium, Protractor, TestNG, and Cucumber BDD Frameworks will be crucial for conducting automation testing on web and mobile applications. Additionally, your proficiency in Java and knowledge of Python/Javascript/Typescript will be advantageous. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and enhance framework architecture, design, build, and maintain test automation framework components and reusable libraries - Utilize Selenium WebDriver with TestNG and/or BDD frameworks/Playwright for web application automation - Implement web services/API automation using REST Assured or equivalents - Hands-on experience in Guidewire automation with Guidewire Test (GT) or other automation frameworks - Lead automation framework design and implementation tailored for Guidewire implementations - Define automation standards, procedures, best practices, and estimates - Perform test execution, maintain scripts, and monitor the defect management process - Coordinate with testing and development teams to efficiently resolve issues - Engage with clientside stakeholders to communicate progress, risks, and status - Lead distributed teams across geographies and contribute to automation training and upskilling initiatives - Mentor team members on automation tools, frameworks, and Guidewire best practices Qualifications Required: - BE/BTech/MCA with 5-10 years of automation consulting experience across multiple platforms and domains - Minimum 5 years of experience in automation tools such as Selenium, UFT, Protractor - Hands-on experience in developing frameworks on Selenium frameworks like TestNG, Cucumber, Appium, Rest Assured - Proven experience in creating QA Strategy and automation approach from scratch - Ability to articulate the value and ROI of automation to clients - Experience in conducting proof-of-concepts, tool selection, and addressing business needs of clients - Excellent communication skills with the capability to articulate concisely and clearly - Willingness to take on roles as an individual contributor and Team Leader Working at EY offers you the opportunity to work on inspiring projects, receive education, coaching, and practical experience for personal development.
