Security Specialist - Cyber Security

As a D&T Analyst I in Cyber Security Incident Response at General Mills, you will be a part of the Global Shared Services arm of General Mills Inc. in Mumbai, supporting operations worldwide. The Cyber Security team is looking for a passionate individual who will be responsible for day-to-day monitoring and deep dive investigations of security events on a 24x7 basis by ensuring alignment to SLAs. Your key responsibilities will include: - Monitoring and investigating cyber security events - Demonstrating the ability to work in a 24x7 facility in rotating shifts - Utilizing thorough knowledge and experience in Security Incident & Event Management (SIEM) system and SOAR Technologies - Having a good understanding of networking fundamentals & protocols - Applying Cyber Security principles and MITRE framework - Deep understanding of Phishing tactics and Windows endpoint investigation - Escalating cybersecurity events according to General Mills Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan and following the escalation path - Assisting the team with fine-tuning detection rules - Developing reports on incident trends to share with other Cyber Security Teams - Maintaining quality and consistency - Participating in projects for process streamlining - Making timely and high-quality decisions Qualifications required for this role include: - Full-time graduation from an accredited university - 4 to 6 years of related work experience - Strong understanding of networks, network security (IDS/IPS/Firewall etc.), and hands-on experience in incident response processes and tools - Good understanding of Cyber Security principles and MITRE framework - In-depth knowledge of investigations in Windows, Linux, and MAC operating systems - Familiarity with technologies such as SIEM, networking protocols, and Cyber principles - Certifications like Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), EC-Council Certified Incident Handler (ECIH) General Mills is a company that prioritizes being a force for good and provides a place for learning and growth.
