Job Duties :

Understanding and analyzing business requirements, application data and identify gaps in the proposed solution, make recommendations. Working closely with Business analysts in resolving requirement gaps and cost analysis. Creating acceptance criteria for the stories derived based on the functionalities. Responsible for creating strategy of automating identified functional requirements. Finalizing the required tools to be utilized for test automation like JMeter, SOAP UI, POSTMAN. Writing SQL queries to retrieve required data from Oracle database. Automating desktop applications like Core Advance using Ranorex.Creating, executing and debugging automated test suites related to: Web, API, UI, database,functional, Regression, smoke, black box, performance/load and end-to-end testing.Responsible for improvement, support and maintenance of Regression and sanity tests on all environments (N2A, N1, N and PROD).Implementing Postman automation using JavaScript and Newman, and execute on TAF.

Load Testing, Single User Testing all phases of Application using JMeter, monitor the Response

Time and improve the area’s which consume more time. Creating Automation for REST services using rest assured framework, and functional test on Postman and Swagger documentation.

Querying SPLUNK to retrieve logs and trace back root cause of the issues. Accountable for doing performance testing (Stress, Scale, Longevity), regression, security, sanity, functional testing (Positive, Negative, Boundary, Concurrency, Globalization) of web services on every release.Automating test cases using TAF and execute entire suite for each release to make sure code is error free before it goes into production. Assist with deploying the application into production. Attend Daily Scrum meetings & Daily Status Call User Story review meetings.

Job Duties :

Participate in test strategy, test estimation and planning discussions Maintain understanding of current and new testing technologies Lead Lessons Learned or Project Review sessions, and identify potential work process improvementWrite scripting using languages like JavaScript and other languages like Ruby as required to support the automation activities, automate the API’s to perform ordered execution and parallel execution as required.Automate the token flow from one API call to different other API calls, verify the authorization points. Use variables to store JSON response field values and utilize throughout the API calls of application flow.Use tools Postman/SOAPUI, JMeter to develop test automation of webservices (RESTful/Soap) API’s), verifying URI endpoints and validating response JSON/XML data. Utilize Newman command tool to execute the automated test suite.Perform security vulnerability tests. Work with OAuth tokens and other session data. Validate the Authorization tokens and support develop continuous flow of API calls automation using valid tokens.Use of proxy servers by location wise to verify the API calls in different geo-locations, develop scripts on what calls to be executed and to run on scheduled basis.Use Selenium web driver with Java or any other programming language coding and testing frameworks like JUNIT/TestNG to automate web applications, prioritize the test case execution. Utilize Eclipse IDE to develop the automation code.Identify and apply appropriate web page element locators (Id’s, Names, XPATH, CSS) and other locating mechanisms like Firepath and FireBug to inspect page elements. Perform development through distributed automation using Selenium Grid as required.Involving in exploratory and structured testing while helping in providing the solutions with patching. Use tools like Wave and Page Ruler to perform design and web accessibility evaluation.Setup build system and support continuous integration utilizing tools like Maven/Jenkins and version control system like GIT.

Work with Mobile automation utilizing the IDE’s like Xcode and Android Studio. Automate the mobile test flow using Appium and Java. Application being developed requires mobile versions too and the mobile app need to be tested on different mobile devices with different configurations of Android/IOS OS versions.Use JSONWire protocol internally to interact with the iOS apps and Selenium WebDriver for test development on android apps.Measure the Performance/Load of applications by using tools like Apache JMeter/LoadRunner, developing VUScripts using VUGen component in LoadRunner.Enhance the scripts by adding valid checkpoints, transactions and other rendezvous points in LoadRunner, configure some run time settings to run the tests.Perform extensive backend work with different agencies while having good understanding of Service Architecture and Hybrid/Native applications/Responsive websites. This includes understanding the detailed system components of multiple agencies and the data they work with.Write Oracle SQL queries, PL/SQL procedures, functions and packages for validation of appropriate backend systems using SQL Workbench, Management Studio.Develop test scripts and use ServiceNow project management tool to execute the test cases and maintain defect statuses, generate reports for analysis.Involve in requirement analysis, System analysis, and design/UX issues. Work with Trello cards to perform UX reviews, utilize Sketch/Invision tools to review designs and wireframes.Perform risk assessments and prioritize the tasks while also identifying the performance issues.Facilitate User Story review meetings, migration of applications through various environments DEV, STAGE, PROD.

Perform heavy RESTful Services automation testing from backend perspective with a lot of integration points and interfaces.Strong validation of authorization tokens and using the OAuth tokens in separate API calls while automating the API flow.Handle SSL certificate validation of different API calls using Postman, while also handling untrusted certificates in scripts with selenium.Write scripting using languages like Ruby or other languages like JavaScript as required to support the automation activities of API or Restful calls.Perform extensive backend work with different agencies while having good understanding of Service Architecture and Hybrid/Native applications/Responsive websites.Write Oracle SQL queries, PL/SQL procedures, functions and packages for validation of appropriate backend systems.

Use Selenium web driver with Java coding and testing frameworks like JUNIT/TestNG to automate web applications, use Selenium Grid to perform the remote execution.Perform the headless testing using HTML driver and Phantom JS with selenium, use Log4j to generate the log files.Integrate selenium with build tools and other version control tools to support the continuous integration and deployment.Use tools like Postman/SOAPUI to develop test automation of webservices (RESTful API’s), verifying URI endpoints and validating response JSON/XML data.Use JMeter to perform the concurrency regulation.
