About the role
Role Overview: As an Assistant Manager Continuous Improvement, you will support the Worldwide Manufacturing and CI leadership teams in India. Your critical role will involve identifying, planning, executing, and sustaining continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations and contract manufacturing partners. By utilizing data-driven analysis, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and shop-floor engagement, you will aim to enhance quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and execute CI projects from identification to implementation and sustenance - Support site-wide training on new processes, procedures, and Lean manufacturing - Develop Value Stream Maps (VSM) for all manufacturing lines - Optimize processes and analyze process and equipment variation - Lead major Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC) projects - Drive Kaizen, PDCA, Gemba walks, and waste elimination initiatives - Evaluate process capability & equipment capability (Cp, Cpk) - Implement and monitor SPC, Gage R&R, and statistical analysis - Capture MIS data and present manufacturing KPIs and dashboards to management - Conduct Pareto analysis to identify root causes of variation - Optimize changeover and setup time across equipment and SKUs - Analyze inbound material variability and collaborate with vendors for improvement - Partner with Manufacturing, Packaging, Automation, Quality, and IT teams - Support process automation, system enhancements, and BI dashboard development - Plan and execute horizontal replication of best practices across India and globally - Drive wastage reduction, yield improvement, line speed enhancement, and uptime People & Leadership Responsibility: - Lead and mentor a CI team and influence cross-functional teams - Set performance goals for self and team aligned with CI roadmap - Delegate effectively and ensure accountability - Monitor productivity, provide coaching, feedback, and follow-ups - Actively support shop-floor cultural transformation Qualification Required: - Bachelors degree in Engineering / Manufacturing / Operations - Six Sigma Green Belt certification Additional Company Details: The company offers a high-impact role influencing manufacturing performance & culture, exposure to global manufacturing and CI best practices, the opportunity to grow into a CI leadership role, hands-on ownership from problem identification to benefits realization, and strong collaboration with Automation, Digital, and Global Manufacturing teams.
