Test Automation Architect

QA Architect (Automation, Performance & AI-Driven Testing) Location: Hyderabad Work Mode: Work from Office Experience: 12+ Years Role Overview We are seeking a QA Architect to define, lead, and scale enterprise-wide Quality Engineering practices across Automation, Performance, and Security testing. This role goes beyond execution — you will own QA strategy, architecture, governance, and innovation, including AI-led and Agentic Automation initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect with strong leadership skills, capable of building future-ready QA platforms aligned with modern DevOps and cloud-native ecosystems. Key Responsibilities • Own and drive the organization-wide QA strategy covering Automation, Performance, and Security testing. • Architect scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation frameworks for: o Web, API, Mobile, and Enterprise applications • Lead automation tool selection, standardization, and governance. • Design and execute performance engineering strategy (load, stress, spike, endurance). • Establish security testing practices including DAST, SAST, API security, and OWASP compliance. • Drive AI-led QA initiatives, including: o AI-assisted test case generation o Intelligent defect analysis and prediction o Impact analysis and self-healing automation o Agentic AI–based autonomous testing • Embed testing deeply into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows. • Champion Shift-Left and Shift-Right testing practices. • Define quality metrics, dashboards, and release readiness criteria. • Mentor QA teams and build a Quality Engineering Center of Excellence (CoE). • Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, Product, and Leadership teams to ensure end-to-end product quality. Must-Have Skills • 12+ years of experience in Quality Engineering & Assurance • Proven experience as a QA / Test Automation Architect • Strong hands-on expertise in: o Test Automation: Selenium, Playwright (with MCP – mandatory), Cypress, RestAssured o Performance Testing: JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, k6 o Security Testing: OWASP Top 10, Burp Suite, DAST/SAST tools • Expertise in test automation framework design from scratch • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and release orchestration • Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) • Hands-on exposure to Docker and Kubernetes • Proficiency in one or more languages: Java / Python / JavaScript / C# • Excellent technical leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder communication skills AI & Modern QA Capabilities (Mandatory Exposure) • Hands-on or architectural exposure to GenAI tools, such as: o GitHub Copilot or equivalent o AI-based test case generation tools o Intelligent defect analytics and test optimization • Understanding and practical application of: o Agentic AI in test automation o Self-healing and autonomous testing models Good-to-Have • Experience building or scaling a QA CoE • Low-Code / No-Code automation platforms (e.g., TOSCA) • Pre-sales, PoC, or automation ROI modeling experience • Experience testing highly scalable or mission-critical systems What We Offer • High-impact architectural ownership and decision-making authority • Opportunity to work on AI-first, next-generation QA platforms • Strong influence on engineering and delivery excellence • A leadership role shaping the future of Quality Engineering.
