Position –Desktop Field Technician

Location: Fairbanks, AK 99701

Duration: 6 months contract to perm

Pay rate range $25.90 to $27.34/hr on w2

Driving position! Yes, 20% Vehicle is supplied by Client There should not be any traveling expenses.

How many hours per week are anticipated? 40 hrs

What are the expected daily/weekly work hours? 8 am – 5 pm

Summary :

you will perform activities associated with installing, diagnosing, maintaining and servicing computer-related products, including but not limited to desktop & laptop computers, printers, network devices, standard software, and low-end servers at customer sites, and/or depot locations.

This is a journeyman position for the typical desk side support technician.

You will be directed by Help Desk, Service Desk, or script using standard methods, techniques, and tools.

You will also apply personal knowledge to resolve product support issues that could not be addressed by service desk.

Your assignments will range in complexity from troubleshooting and repair, to more difficult device repair, including reloading and re-imaging of PCs/laptops, and installing and optimizing HW/SW networking products.

Skill Set/Experience Requirements

• Please provide the top 3-5 skills/experiences you’ll be looking for on a candidate’s resume

• Ticketing system experience

• Windows 11 and MS Office 365 experience

• Experience supporting Apple iPhones and iPads

• Strong knowledge of PC hardware components

• Strong knowledge of Printer hardware components
