About the role
[About the Role] Join a high-impact engineering team at our Oldsmar, FL facility as a Quality Assurance Engineer. You'll play a pivotal role in advancing hardware quality for mission-critical products, collaborating with manufacturing, program teams, and engineering leaders. Work hands-on with cutting-edge quality standards, data analytics, and AI-driven automation to drive continuous improvement and ensure product excellence.
[Responsibilities]
- Apply quality engineering principles to production control, product design, and workflow optimization.
- Lead root-cause investigations, analyze defect trends, and implement corrective and preventative actions for hardware components.
- Develop and refine inspection processes, contributing to innovative testing and quality assurance systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align quality processes across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Leverage Tableau dashboards and predictive analytics to monitor production metrics and identify actionable trends.
- Initiate automation and AI solutions to reduce inspection errors and enhance predictive quality outcomes.
[Required Skills and Experience]
- Proven experience in quality engineering within hardware, manufacturing, or aerospace environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams and locations.
- Deep understanding of AS9100 standards or similar aerospace quality models.
- Hands-on experience with hardware engineering requirements, integration, and system testing.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality systems.
[Preferred Skills]
- Proficiency in Tableau or related data visualization tools for quality tracking.
- Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent problem-solving training.
- Experience working with Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), cable assemblies, and box-level hardware.
- Knowledge of IPC and J-STD standards relevant to component and system analysis.
