Data Analyst – 6-Month Contract (Hybrid, San Antonio or Plano, TX)

About the Role

Join a dynamic team as a Data Analyst focused on driving process improvement across non-IT business operations within the financial sector. This hybrid role (on-site and remote) is ideal for candidates seeking hands-on experience with industry-leading technologies and opportunities to develop expertise in financial process analysis, requirements gathering, and solution implementation. This is a 6-month contract with the potential for extension, offering exposure to large-scale banking and fintech environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze non-IT business challenges to identify and recommend process improvement opportunities

• Develop and articulate clear requirements for business solutions

• Create financial assessment frameworks to evaluate proposed investments

• Identify, evaluate, and present alternative solutions to stakeholders

• Prepare thorough documentation outlining current and desired business process states

• Build consensus and understanding between process owners and solution developers

• Assess ongoing process performance and recommend enhancements

• Required Skills and Experience

• Proficiency in SQL (understand, debug, and analyze architecture)

• Strong Tableau skills for data visualization

• Effective communication skills (email, Slack, in-person collaboration)

• Familiarity with Snowflake data warehousing

• Experience in banking or fintech with knowledge of consumer financial products (credit cards, debit cards, lending)

• Preferred Skills

• Python programming (especially for GenAI tools)

• SAS experience (especially in migration to Snowflake)

• Familiarity with VS Code, CodeX, and CoPilot

• Understanding of GenAI functionality
