[About the Role] Join our dynamic team in Orlando, FL as a Systems Integration and Test Engineer focused on cutting-edge sensor development for space applications. [Responsibilities]
- Plan, implement, and document system integration and comprehensive test solutions for both in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components and subsystems.
- Analyze customer requirements and translate them into actionable test plans while balancing technical, schedule, and budget constraints.
- Define and establish functional and technical specifications, ensuring seamless hardware/software integration for full system functionality.
- Develop, direct, and execute detailed test plans, procedures, and schedules for complete systems and subsystems.
- Coordinate subsystem and system testing activities with internal programs and cross-functional teams.
- Evaluate and analyze test results, preparing in-depth evaluation reports that verify and validate system performance.
- Author discrepancy reports and perform integration regression testing to confirm and validate fixes at all system levels.
[Required Skills and Experience]
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in electro-optical, optical, or IR design and development.
- At least 6 years’ experience in design, integration, test, verification, and validation of electro-optical systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing advanced test plans, procedures, execution schedules, and reports for stakeholder and customer review.
- At least 6 years’ experience applying physics concepts and electronic testing in practical engineering applications.
[Preferred Skills]
- Experience with space-based sensor systems.
- Proficiency in advanced test automation and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of hardware/software interface problem-solving.
- Familiarity with government and commercial off-the-shelf (GOTS/COTS) system integration.
