SDET – Software Development Engineer in Test Location: Remote, United States Job Type: C2C

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts using Java for UI, API, and backend testing

• Leverage Object-Oriented Programming principles to write clean, efficient, and reusable test code

• Execute API testing with Rest Assured and perform backend validation using JDBC or JPA

• Author and optimize complex SQL queries for comprehensive data validation

• Track test execution, report issues, and help drive defects to closure

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align testing with business objectives and project goals

• Ensure process compliance and manage related documentation throughout testing lifecycle

• Proactively identify risks and integrate risk-mitigation strategies into daily workflow

• Required Skills and Experience

• Proficiency in Java, including Collections Framework, Exception Handling, and Streams/Lambda expressions

• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit

• Skilled in build tools like Maven or Gradle and dependency management

• Strong background in API testing with Rest Assured; database validation using JDBC or JPA

• Proficient in SQL and experience working with Oracle, DB2, or Snowflake databases

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

• Preferred Skills

• Experience in Agile environments

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines

• Exposure to cloud platforms and containerization technologies
