About the role
[About the Role] Indotronix is seeking a highly skilled ASIC/FPGA Verification Engineer Level 4 to join our team in a dynamic hybrid position based in El Segundo or Huntington Beach, CA. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension, offering the flexibility of working onsite just one day a week. You will be at the forefront of advanced verification, collaborating with top engineering talent while leveraging cutting-edge technologies to ensure the highest standards in ASIC and FPGA design.
[Responsibilities]
- Design and implement robust ASIC/FPGA verification environments using UVM and SystemVerilog
- Develop self-checking, reusable test benches from scratch, employing Object-Oriented Programming concepts such as Inheritance and Polymorphism
- Build and integrate drivers, monitors, predictors, and scoreboards within UVM frameworks
- Create comprehensive Functional Coverage Models and conduct detailed Code Coverage analysis
- Set up regression tests, track metrics, and ensure thorough verification through ongoing simulation
- Support FPGA-based prototyping and validation aligned with program and system requirements
- Collaborate cross-functionally to synchronize verification strategies with project objectives and timelines
[Required Skills and Experience]
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent relevant qualification
- 8-10 years of proven experience in ASIC/FPGA verification processes
- Deep expertise in SystemVerilog and SystemVerilog Assertions
- Proficiency in developing and executing verification test plans
- Strong background in Object-Oriented Programming principles
- Demonstrated ability to design reusable, self-checking testbenches
- Experience developing Functional Coverage Models and achieving Code Coverage closure
- Effective collaboration with design and system engineering teams on ASIC/FPGA specifications
- Familiarity with waveform debug tools and revision control systems (svn, cvs, git)
- Comfortable working in Linux environments
[Preferred Skills]
- 10+ years of related industry experience
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, or related field
- Hands-on experience in hardware-based integration and testing of ASIC/FPGA designs
- Proficiency with hardware emulators, especially Palladium
- Experience with high-speed Serdes interfaces (JESD204C, PCIe, Ethernet)
- Scripting expertise in Make, Perl, Python
- Familiarity with space-based design techniques and radiation mitigation
- Proven track record of 1st pass success with ASIC designs
