About the Role
Join Lockheed Martin’s elite RF engineering team in Chelmsford, MA, and play a critical part in the design, production, and testing of complex, high-reliability multi-function modules for cutting-edge aerospace and defense applications. As an RF Engineer, you’ll work hands-on in a dynamic laboratory environment, collaborating closely with industry-leading experts to develop innovative solutions to complex technical problems. Responsibilities

Lead troubleshooting and resolve integration issues in a fast-paced production environment

Independently identify, analyze, and resolve technical challenges through creative problem-solving
-
Support the complete product lifecycle, from design and prototyping to testing and manufacturing sustainment
-
Operate RF microwave test equipment and simulation tools to validate and optimize designs
-
Collaborate closely with hardware, systems, and circuit design engineers, as well as manufacturing and technical support teams
-
Prepare and present technical documentation, specifications, and presentations
-
Ensure compliance with classified information handling protocols and support customer engagements
-
Participate in failure investigations and drive corrective actions in production support

Required Skills and Experience:
-
Active Secret Clearance (required to start)
-
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or STEM discipline
-
Minimum 5 years of relevant professional RF engineering experience
-
Proven expertise in hands-on hardware troubleshooting and production integration
-
Proficient with RF/microwave test equipment and simulation tools
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills:
-
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
-
Extensive experience in defense electronics and RF subsystem design
-
Deep knowledge of antennas, transmitters, receivers, amplifiers, mixers, switches, frequency circuits, and microelectronics assembly techniques

Ability to lead technical investigations and interface with customers
-
Strong capability in technical documentation and collaborative problem-solving
