Job Summary: RF Engineer – Weekend Shift (Thursday–Sunday) | Chelmsford, MA
About the Role
Join Lockheed Martin’s industry-leading RF engineering team at our Chelmsford, MA facility and make a direct impact on the development and sustainment of advanced technology systems for critical, high-reliability applications. As an RF Engineer, you will work hands-on with complex multi-function modules, collaborating with top experts in a supportive, innovative environment. Responsibilities

Drive the production and troubleshooting of advanced RF modules for high-reliability, mission-critical systems.

Resolve complex technical challenges with innovative, hands-on solutions in a dynamic laboratory and manufacturing setting.

Collaborate closely with hardware, systems, and circuit design engineers as well as manufacturing support teams to ensure product quality and performance.

Lead root-cause analysis and failure investigations to support ongoing product improvement.

Act independently to resolve operational issues, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and rigorous standards.

Prepare and deliver technical presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience
-
Active Secret Clearance required to start.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of relevant RF engineering experience.

Proven hands-on experience with RF hardware and use of microwave test equipment and simulation tools.

Strong troubleshooting skills in production or manufacturing environments.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Preferred Skills
-
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.

Significant experience within the defense electronics industry.

Advanced knowledge of RF subsystems, including antennas, transmitters, receivers, amplifiers, mixers, frequency circuits, and microelectronics assembly.

Proficiency in technical documentation, schematic drawings, and customer-facing technical presentations.

Previous RF design project leadership and experience in failure investigations.
