Location: Florham Park, NJ, 07932 (Remote Eligible) Job Type: 1099 Contract
About the Role
Join our dynamic team as a QA Engineer specializing in Playwright Automation. Leverage your expertise in TypeScript and enterprise web automation to design, build, and maintain scalable testing frameworks for business-critical applications. Responsibilities

Architect, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript

Automate functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end test scenarios for complex web applications

Collaborate closely with QA, Developers, Business Analysts, and Product teams to define and achieve comprehensive test coverage
-
Develop reusable automation components, test libraries, and utilities for efficiency and maintainability
-
Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) to ensure seamless execution
-
Analyze automation results, identify and document defects, and work with development teams for prompt resolutions
-
Regularly enhance automation scripts in alignment with evolving application features
-
Participate in code reviews and promote automation best practices across the team

Prepare and deliver test reports, execution metrics, and quality status updates to stakeholders

Required Skills and Experience
-
6+ years of software testing/automation experience
-
2+ years of hands-on Playwright automation (mandatory)
-
Proficient in TypeScript
-
Proven track record building scalable automation frameworks from scratch
-
Strong knowledge of Page Object Model (POM) and automation design patterns
-
Practical experience with REST APIs and API testing
-
Skilled in integrating automation with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
-
Proficient in Git version control
-
Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
-
Preferred Skills
-
Experience in Agile/Scrum teams

Knowledge of performance and cross-browser testing

Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms

SQL and database validation experience
