Location: Florham Park, NJ, 07932 (Remote Eligible) Job Type: 1099 Contract

About the Role

Join our dynamic team as a QA Engineer specializing in Playwright Automation. Leverage your expertise in TypeScript and enterprise web automation to design, build, and maintain scalable testing frameworks for business-critical applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, tech-forward environment committed to quality and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript

  • Automate functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end test scenarios for complex web applications

  • Collaborate closely with QA, Developers, Business Analysts, and Product teams to define and achieve comprehensive test coverage

  • Develop reusable automation components, test libraries, and utilities for efficiency and maintainability

  • Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) to ensure seamless execution

  • Analyze automation results, identify and document defects, and work with development teams for prompt resolutions

  • Regularly enhance automation scripts in alignment with evolving application features

  • Participate in code reviews and promote automation best practices across the team

  • Prepare and deliver test reports, execution metrics, and quality status updates to stakeholders

  • Required Skills and Experience

  • 6+ years of software testing/automation experience

  • 2+ years of hands-on Playwright automation (mandatory)

  • Proficient in TypeScript

  • Proven track record building scalable automation frameworks from scratch

  • Strong knowledge of Page Object Model (POM) and automation design patterns

  • Practical experience with REST APIs and API testing

  • Skilled in integrating automation with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)

  • Proficient in Git version control

  • Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities

  • Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum teams

  • Knowledge of performance and cross-browser testing

  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms

  • SQL and database validation experience
