RAN operations Engineer

As an experienced professional in the field of 5G RAN operations and troubleshooting, you will be responsible for the following key tasks: - Operate and support 5G gNodeB sites and NR clusters, including configuration, software loading, and fault restoration. - Perform end-to-end 5G RAN troubleshooting for various issues such as call drops, access failures, RLF, throughput problems, and HO failures. - Analyze and interpret essential 5G NR KPIs including Accessibility, Retainability, Mobility, Integrity, PRB, BLER, CQI, SINR, RSRP/RSRQ. - Manage mobility and neighbor relations, encompassing inter/intrafrequency, ENDC, Xn/NG HO, ANR audits, and PCI/SSB conflicts. - Demonstrate knowledge of 5G RAN and CBRS, covering DU, RU, CU, and AU architecture. - Utilize experience in RAN planning, configuration, optimization, KPI monitoring, and RF basics. - Apply analytical skills to interpret KPIs, identify root causes, recognize network trends, and provide optimization recommendations. - Oversee RAN operations by monitoring alarms, checking KPIs, and ensuring the health of network elements. - Resolve radio issues such as incorrect parameters and interference problems effectively. - Utilize performance analytics and dashboards to extract valuable insights. - Generate reports, optimization plans, and KPI dashboards for continuous improvement. - Optimize capacity and interference through parameter tuning, MIMO enhancements, scheduler adjustments, tilt/power adjustments, etc. Your expertise and proactive approach will significantly contribute to the efficient operation and optimization of the 5G RAN network.
