We are Looking for a Application Support Engineer-Other - Intermediate - Jersey City, NJ

Position type : Contract to Hire

Duration : 6+ Months

Windows Sys Eng/Admin or SQL Server DBA type. 3-5 years exp. Software Installation and upgrades. Packaging and support. Working with vendor software for Global Security.

3 rd party vendor application support, L2/L3. Not much coding, mostly support. Mostly Microsoft environment. DNS, Firewall, SQL Server, installing and configuring vendor software, preparing infrastructure. Partnering with hardware teams. Using ServiceNow for incident management. 3-5 years of experience.

2 interviews, 1 zoom, 1 in person.

Access control team. Supporting systems that manage security and tracking devices.

5 days in office soon, within a month or so most likely.

Documentation for software releases.

Adhere to architecture standards, risk management, security guidelines and data management policies.

• Be responsible for the overall implementation, integration components and configuration of 3rd party solutions.

• Take ownership and accountability for the deliverables in all phases of the development lifecycle.

• Be responsible for planning and delivery of the large-scale, distributed application and hardware upgrades.

• Work closely with Product Owners to understand LOB technology drivers, requirements, issues and product backlog.

• Develop and implement custom reports based on LOB requirements

• Partner with internal and external teams on the performance and end-to-end integration testing efforts. Identify bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demands.

• Provide application expertise and troubleshooting support for complex issues escalated by the users and production support.

• Design automated software and product upgrades, change management, and release management solutions

Proficient in application development skills for more than one technology as well as multiple design techniques

Working proficiency in development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with ability to work in at least one of the common frameworks

Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, application resiliency and security

Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages

Working proficiency in a portion of software engineering disciplines and demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including

business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement of software.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $ 57.33/Hr

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
