About the role
Location Onshore (US-NC - Charlotte) | Hybrid / Remote Role Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Onshore Technical Lead with strong expertise in React-based front-end development, UX design leadership, and database schema & data modeling . This role will act as the technical anchor and design authority , working closely with product owners, UX designers, architects, and offshore delivery teams to deliver scalable, user-centric, and data-driven applications. The ideal candidate is hands-on, design-oriented, and comfortable translating business requirements into intuitive user experiences and well-structured data models. Key Responsibilities Frontend & UX Leadership Lead the design and development of React-based web applications with a strong focus on usability, accessibility, and performance Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into intuitive UX flows and UI components Review and guide UX wireframes, prototypes, and design systems to ensure consistency and scalability Establish frontend best practices, coding standards, and reusable component libraries Data Modeling & Backend Design Design and review database schemas and logical/physical data models to support application and analytics needs Ensure data models align with business entities, reporting requirements, and performance considerations Partner with backend engineers and data teams to ensure seamless integration between UI, APIs, and data layers Address data quality, normalization, and scalability considerations early in the design process Technical Leadership & Delivery Serve as the onshore technical lead coordinating with offshore development teams Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and architecture walkthroughs Resolve complex technical challenges across frontend, UX, and data layers Communicate technical decisions, risks, and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholder Collaboration & Governance Work closely with Architecture, Security, Compliance, and Platform teams to ensure solutions meet enterprise standards Contribute to roadmap planning, estimation, and delivery milestones Mentor junior engineers and designers, fostering strong engineering and UX practices Required Qualifications 6+ years of overall software engineering experience, with significant hands-on React experience Strong understanding of UX principles , responsive design, and modern UI patterns Proven experience in database schema design and data modeling (relational and/or NoSQL) Experience translating business requirements into end-to-end application and data designs Strong communication skills with the ability to lead discussions with business and technical stakeholders Experience working in onshore-offshore delivery models Preferred Qualifications Experience with modern React ecosystem (Hooks, Context API, state management libraries) Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD or simiar Experience with API-driven architectures (REST/GraphQL) Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Background in data-driven or enterprise-scale applications What Success Looks Like in This Role High-quality, scalable React applications delivered with strong UX adoption Clean, well-structured data models that support both application and reporting needs Clear technical direction and smooth collaboration between onshore and offshore teams Stakeholders trust you as the go-to technical and design authority
