Azure Specialist

About the Role We are seeking a dynamic, customer-facing Azure Cloud Engineer to join our Professional Services team in the delivery of complex IT projects. This role combines hands-on technical execution with direct customer engagement, supporting production implementations, infrastructure design, and migration initiatives across a range of enterprise environments. What You'll Do : Project Delivery & Technical Execution Provide hands-on technical support for complex projects, with a focus on production and implementation Participate in project work plans and report deviations to Project Managers as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements Effectively apply company methodology and enforce project standards Minimize exposure and risk to the organization across all project work Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately Azure Infrastructure & Migration Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and reliable Azure infrastructure environments Assist with implementing Azure infrastructure enhancements to streamline customer workloads Assist with the planning and migration of complex customer workloads to Microsoft Azure, including migration to cloud-native PaaS solutions Gather, review, and validate network requirements, VNets, and network security groups Deploy and configure both Azure-native and custom network and firewall configurations Implement Azure monitoring and diagnostics pipelines based on unique customer needs Automation & DevOps Assist with maintaining CI/CD platforms Develop cloud automation tailored to unique customer needs and requirements Utilize PowerShell, Azure CLI, and other scripting languages to complete day-to-day tasks Technical Support & Collaboration Serve as a technical escalation point for technical staff from other departments Work with account teams to identify and resolve persistent and lingering issues Assist with troubleshooting technologies including Hyper-V, VMware, Windows Server, Active Directory, and physical infrastructure Support the Project Architecture team as needed, including customer-facing discussions about Azure product offerings Ensure timely communications and updates are provided to all relevant parties What You'll Need : Experience Several years of experience working in project-based environments and/or reporting to Project Managers Experience planning, designing, and deploying Azure infrastructure and resources Experience with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) Experience or familiarity with Azure Migrate and/or Azure Site Recovery for migrations Technical Skills Familiarity with Azure Active Directory administration Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) workflows (Azure ARM, Bicep, and/or Terraform); familiarity with Bicep is preferred Familiarity with migrating customer applications to cloud-native PaaS solutions Basic understanding of the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) methodology Basic understanding of the Microsoft Zero Trust security model Knowledge of Git and branching strategies Basic understanding of Azure DevOps workflows Soft Skills Great people, customer service, and verbal/written communication skills Passionate, hardworking, team player, and motivated to delight customers Preferred Certifications (any of the following) Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
