About the role
Role Overview: As a UI/UX Designer at ixigo, you will be responsible for collecting and translating user insights into delightful experiences. Your role involves creating both functional and appealing features that cater to the needs of customers. Your creativity, eye for design, and technical knowledge will be utilized to develop exceptional user experiences. Key Responsibilities: - Create close working relationships with Product, Strategy, Marketing, and Engineering teams to shape and deliver design vision and strategy. - Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers. - Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps. - Practice an iterative, user-centered design approach and deliver best-in-class UX design in every phase of the design lifecycle. - Lead discovery sessions and brainstorms to generate innovative solutions. - Develop user flows, wireframes, UI mockups, and prototypes to visualize site features and functionalities. - Present concepts, ideas, and potential solutions to stakeholders and senior management, incorporating their feedback. - Participate actively in UX testing, analyze results, and revise designs accordingly. - Identify and troubleshoot UX issues, such as responsiveness. - Create and maintain a site-wide style guide. Qualifications: - 3-7 years of UI/UX design experience in a product team. - Deep understanding of fundamental visual design disciplines, including typography, iconography, color theory, composition, and layout. - Proficiency in UX collaboration tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Miro, and similar platforms. - Experience in designing for both phone and tablet interfaces for Android and iOS. - Demonstrable expertise in responsive design. - Bachelors degree or diploma in Graphic Design from tier 1 colleges. - Strong portfolio showcasing your understanding of user experience design principles and knowledge of UI best practices and usability. Soft Skills: - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to effectively communicate ideas and deliver presentations. - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across the organization. - Capacity to accept feedback professionally and handle multiple tasks concurrently while meeting deadlines.
