About the role
As a UI/UX Designer at ixigo, you will be responsible for collecting and translating user insights into delightful experiences. Your role involves creating functional and appealing features that meet the needs of customers. You will collaborate with Product, Strategy, Marketing, and Engineering teams to shape and deliver design vision and strategy. Some of your key responsibilities include: - Gathering and evaluating user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers - Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps - Practicing an iterative, user-centered design approach and creating best-in-class deliverables in every phase of the UX design lifecycle - Leading discovery sessions and brainstorms - Developing user flows, wireframes, UI mockups, and prototypes - Presenting concepts, ideas, and potential solutions to stakeholders and senior management - Participating actively in UX testing and revising designs based on test results - Identifying and troubleshooting UX problems such as responsiveness - Creating and maintaining a site-wide style guide Qualifications required for this role include: - 2-3 years of UI/UX design experience in a product team - Deep understanding of fundamental visual design disciplines such as typography, iconography, composition, color, layout, etc. - In-depth knowledge of UX collaboration tools like Figma, Sketch, InVision, Miro, and similar - Experience in phone and tablet design for Android and iOS - Demonstrable experience with responsive design - Bachelors degree/diploma in Graphic Design from tier 1 colleges Your soft skills should include: - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to effectively communicate ideas and make presentations - Strong interpersonal skills - Aptitude to build relationships across the organization - Ability to accept feedback and work in a professional manner - Capacity to handle multiple tasks concurrently and work under deadlines As a UI/UX Designer at ixigo, you will play a crucial role in creating user-friendly and visually appealing experiences for travellers across various platforms.
