Finance Consultant / ERP Consultant (Hyderabad)

Finance & Accounting ERP Product Consultant (Part-Time) Location: Hyderabad Preferred (Hybrid Engagement) Engagement Type: Part-Time Consultant (Freelance) Expected On-site Requirement: Approximately 3 days per month in Hyderabad Industry: SaaS ERP Software The consultant will act as the functional subject matter expert for Karyas Finance & Accounting ecosystem. The primary objective is to help Karya evolve its Finance & Accounting module into a market-leading solution by identifying product gaps, improving workflows, ensuring statutory compliance, defining recent features, validating accounting logic, and assisting with quality assurance and testing scenarios. Key Responsibilities - Evaluate existing Finance & Accounting features and workflows and identify opportunities for enhancement. - Benchmark Karya against Tally Prime, Zoho Books, Busy, ERPNext, SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics, and Oracle NetSuite. - Gather and document business requirements and prepare detailed functional requirement documents (FRDs). - Define business rules, accounting rules, workflows, use cases, and process flows. - Collaborate with Product, BA, Development, QA, and Leadership teams. - Review accounting entries and transaction flows for correctness. - Validate GST, TDS, TCS, E-Invoicing, E-Way Bills, statutory reports, financial statements, and audit trails. - Provide guidance for quotations, invoices, proforma invoices, delivery challans, work orders, purchases, purchase orders, budgeting, expenses, accounting, inventory, payroll accounting, project accounting, and financial reporting. - Conduct periodic competitor analysis and recommend product improvements. - Prepare accounting test scenarios and validation cases for QA teams. - Review completed features and verify accounting correctness before release. - Participate in periodic on-site workshops and roadmap discussions in Hyderabad. Required Experience & Skills - 8+ years of experience in Finance & Accounting, ERP Consulting, ERP Implementations, or Finance Product Consulting. - Strong understanding of Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, GST Compliance, Taxation, and Financial Reporting. - Hands-on experience with Tally Prime, Zoho Books, ERPNext, or Oracle NetSuite. - Experience participating in ERP implementation or product design projects. - Ability to translate business requirements into detailed product specifications. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
