ETL & SQL Test Automation Engineer

Role Overview: Keyrus is seeking a Data Test Automation Engineer with expertise in SQL and automation testing to work at the intersection of data validation, API testing, and automation frameworks. The role involves ensuring the quality and reliability of data-driven systems in complex client environments, with the option to work in Pune or Bangalore in a hybrid model. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and execute data validation and automation test cases - Build and maintain SQL queries and scripts for validating large datasets - Perform API testing and backend validation across data pipelines - Develop automation frameworks or reusable components using Python or Selenium - Collaborate with BAs, data engineers, and SMEs to ensure data accuracy and consistency - Identify data quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and contribute to CI/CD testing pipelines - Ensure adherence to testing standards, data quality, and SDLC best practices Qualifications Required: Must-haves: - 5+ years of experience in data testing/ETL test automation - Strong expertise in SQL, including advanced queries, data validation, and debugging - Experience testing databases such as Snowflake, SQL Server, or similar - Hands-on experience in either Python for test automation or Selenium for UI/API automation - Experience with API testing, test automation frameworks, and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines - Understanding of data pipelines, workflows, and Agile environments - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders Nice-to-haves: - Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP - Exposure to consulting or client-facing environments - Familiarity with Git version control, Power BI, or data reporting tools - Experience working in international teams Additional Company Details: Keyrus is a global consulting and technology company focused on making data matter from a human perspective.
