About the role
Kforce has a client in Denver, CO that is seeking a Data Architect. In this role, the Data Architect is responsible for planning activities that define the information needs of the company and designs the data to meet those needs with the enterprise architecture and integration with information systems, information technologies, and cloud solutions. The objective is for the Data Architect to plan with vision and foresight to provide high-quality data, to identify and define common information requirements, and to design conceptual structures and plans to meet the long-term data requirements of the company.
Essential Functions:
Understands the information needs of the business with an emphasis on executive information consumption and external data
Works with business teams to gather requirements for data structures and analytical models, understands priorities of the business, analytics, and reporting teams to inform the scope and cadence of work implemented by Business Intelligence development staff
Collaborates with Healthcare Provider business and data SMEs to profile, analyze, and model data, including creating logical mapping of source data into target data models, based on the existing business process and data/reporting requirements
Defines and publishes data management standards, identifies and eliminates gaps in Data Architecture Management practices and stays current on data management industry trends and healthcare data models
Relies on experiences and judgment to break down problems, understand underlying issues, and resolve complex technical issues
Leverages cloud-based solutions to drive data analysis and modeling efforts
Develops strong relationships with team and vendors and remains positive and professional
Identifies and eliminates gaps in Data Architecture Management practices
Attends departmental meetings
Other duties as assigned
Ability to create logical source-to-target mappings
Excellent dimensional data modeling skills and experience with HL7/FHIR/HIT
Strong SQL query language skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Independent problem-solver with excellent project management skills
Self-motivated and self-managed
