IT Infrastructure - Data Centre Operations - West

Infrastructure Monitoring:

Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure monitoring solutions using various tools (e.g., Datadog, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, Solarwinds, Motadata etc.)

Collect, analyse, and visualize data from infrastructure components (servers, networks, databases, applications, etc.).

Develop and maintain monitoring dashboards and alerts for proactive identification of issues.

Conduct regular server capacity planning and utilisation reviews , ensuring scalability and performance.

Collaborate with IT operations and application teams to define and refine monitoring thresholds and escalation protocols.

Analyse trends and historical data to forecast infrastructure needs and prevent potential outages.

Document monitoring configurations, SOPs, and incident response procedures.

Support audit and compliance requirements by maintaining accurate monitoring logs and reports.

Observability:

Understand and apply observability principles (logs, metrics, traces) to gain insights into system behaviour.

Implement and maintain observability tools and pipelines.

Use observability data to improve system reliability, performance, and scalability.

Expertise in Log analytics tools like Kibana & Elastic search etc.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience in infrastructure monitoring within a large-scale IT environment.

Proficiency in various monitoring, observability & log analytics tools (e.g., Datadog, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, Solarwinds, Motadata, Kibana, Elastic Search etc.).

Experience with infrastructure components (servers, networks, databases, applications).

Familiarity with NSE LAMA framework.

Strong understanding of server architecture, virtualisation, and cloud infrastructure.

Experience in capacity planning , performance tuning, and availability management.

Familiarity with ITIL practices, especially around incident and availability management.

Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Experience with automation and scripting for monitoring tasks
