Powertrain HiL Validation Engineer

Job Title: Powertrain HiL Validation Engineer Department: RD/IED – HiL Validation Location: Bangalore Experience: 3 to 10 years Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Embedded Systems, or Instrumentation Engineering Job Summary: We are seeking a HiL Validation Engineer with expertise in Automotive ECU Software Testing and Powertrain System Validation . The role involves developing and executing HiL test automation , analyzing results, and troubleshooting issues for engine and transmission control units . The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with dSPACE, PROVEtech, Vector tools, and real-time scripting , along with strong programming skills in VB Script, VB.NET, Python, or C# . Key Responsibilities: Develop HiL test specifications and automation scripts based on ECU software documentation. Execute tests on HiL, analyze results, and identify root causes of issues. Automate manual tests and contribute to test library and framework development . Interface dSPACE, Vector tools (CANoe, CANape, CANalyzer) with PROVEtech/ECU test tools . Work on diagnostics, OBD testing, and system-level validation of integrated software. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance test automation efficiency . Ensure timely and high-quality project deliveries , troubleshooting issues as required. Mandatory Skills: Strong expertise in Automotive ECU Software Testing, Powertrain Systems, Sensors & Actuators . Hands-on experience in HiL Testing & Automation , real-time scripting (VB Script, VB.NET, Python, C#). Proficiency in automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet) . Experience in Diagnostics Testing, OBD Testing, Middleware Testing . Knowledge of Classic AUTOSAR Stack, ECU architecture, and control software functions . Hands-on experience with dSPACE HiL hardware/software tools . Good to Have: Experience in project setup and test architecture development .
