About the role
As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for performing functional, integration, and regression testing of Linux-based applications running on embedded systems. Your key responsibilities will include: - Validating system-level interactions such as process handling, service management, and CLI-based tools. - Integrating automated test cases into existing test frameworks and CI pipelines. - Analyzing firmware behavior and log outputs to identify bugs and performance issues. - Working closely with firmware, networking, and tools teams to understand features and define appropriate test coverage. - Providing early feedback on requirements and design documents from a testability perspective. - Creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test execution reports. - Tracking and reporting test coverage, pass/fail metrics, and automation status. To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications: - Experience in testing networking protocols such as IPv4, IPv6, DHCP, TCP/IP, ICMP, etc. - Experience in testing Linux applications. - Experience with source control and automated build systems. - Experience with Python scripting language. - Relevant tertiary qualification - B.E, B.Tech, M.E, M.Tech. - Exposure to Metering is an added advantage.
