What you will be doing:

Collaborate with engineering teams to conceptualize and develop the pick-up truck top hat, which includes all customer-facing elements such as the truck cab, bed, doors, seats, and soft and hard trim.

Support development of 'hidden' top hat elements including body structural elements, wiring, and hoses.

Partner with interior/exterior design and other concept and systems architect teams to develop solutions to engineering and functional challenges through creation of 3D CAD, including new/modified part data, packaging and clearance zones, and alternate packaging proposals.

Support simulation and validation teams through creation of prototype packaging/part proposals; incorporate lessons learned in 3D CAD updates.

Critically review available technical systems and propose engineering and/or customer experience improvements.

Create detailed design documentation, including 2D and 3D drawings, specifications, and design guidelines for the platform.

What you'll need to be successful

• Essential:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Design, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in concept engineering, especially with top hat development.
