About the role
Position Overview The Controls Engineer Additive Manufacturing is a technical specialist responsible for the design, programming, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of all machine control systems within the additive manufacturing environment. This role sits at the intersection of CNC control, robotics, and advanced AM processes, requiring a candidate who can bridge traditional machining intelligence with cutting-edge additive technology. The engineer will ensure optimal machine performance, minimize downtime, and drive continuous improvements in process automation and system integration. Preferred Qualifications: B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or a related field. PG Diploma in Automation, Robotics, or Industrial Control Systems is preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in Industrial Controls Engineering. Experience with metal AM processes such as DMLS, SLM, EBM, or DED in a production setting. Exposure to hybrid manufacturing systems combining additive and subtractive (CNC) operations. Relevant certifications such as Siemens Certified Programmer, FANUC Certified Controls Engineer, or equivalent.
