Pre Sales Mechanical Design & Estimation Professional

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design engineer to perform technical presales activities for Automation solutions like gantry automation, robotic automation. As a presales engineer, you will be responsible to interact with customers for initial automation project inputs, conceptualizing a automation solution, preparing a layout drawing capturing the all salient requirements of the solution, preparing the rough estimation for quotation considering all the elements of the project/solution requirement, discussing with Design supply chain department for more accurate inputs for estimation, discussing with Sales lead and finalising the automation project concept layout with required drawings sketches, estimation the quotation to be sent to customer. Pre sales engineer will collaborating closely with cross-functional departments such as Mechanical design, Electrical, Controls, Purchase, and Assembly teams to understand the lessons learnt in previously executed projects in conceptualizing offering a good technical automation solution with competitive pricing. Post acquiring the purchase order from customer, pre sales engineer along with sales lead will be responsible to arrange a kick of meeting with all the stake holders of the project, seamlessly transfer all the project inputs for the execution team. Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Experience Minimum of 0-4 years of experience in mechanical design/ presales activity of industrial automation projects in particular gantry automation, robotic automation projects. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, cost estimation. Technical Skills Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
