Manufacturing Platform Lead

Position Manufacturing Platform Lead (I4.0 lead) Grade M3/M4 Department Digital & Data Location Mumbai/Pune Experience +10 Years of experience in Manufacturing, Platforms & emerging technologies Purpose of the Job This role will serve as primary architect for Manufacturing platforms (preferably pharma, or equivalent process industries), including but not limited IIOT platform with building future roadmap for the platform in supporting various Digital transformation initiatives. Responsibilities Coordinate with development teams in developing/implementing software applications in manufacturing domain Propose most effective architectural solutions to meet cost, quality, and schedule requirements. Prepare detailed blueprints and make any necessary corrections & keep technology solutions within budgets and timelines Lead technical design with the development teams, including the creation of class models, sequence diagrams, component models, etc., and detailed design specifications to ensure that architectural standards are followed Developing a team and managing the team to achieve a stable and sustainable robust system, adding immense value to our customers. Work with project team to design prototypes to validate application functionality. Participate in design, code, and test plan reviews as needed and provide appropriate recommendations. Assist in development of design documents, white papers, training documents and software architectural documents. Lead research and evaluation of emerging technologies, industry, and market trends to identify potential product ideas and implementation strategies Meets with project leaders and software development leaders to ensure progress towards architectural alignment with project goals and requirements Functions independently within agreed work plan on multiple projects with limited supervision Acts with authority to lead the development process Takes decisions on everyday matters that impact the different stages of new projects along with leading cross-functional teams and seeking guidance and inputs in key issues Takes proactive measures to institutionalize and build an innovation-focused culture and identifies best practices that can benefit the team. Desired candidate should have, Preferably 10-12 years of overall experience on various manufacturing technologies/platforms Min. 3 years of hands- on experience in developing end- to- end IoT applications that are comprised of cloud- based applications and services, web applications, data analytics, wireless communication systems, embedded sensors, and devices along with mobile App Experience in Engineering and IT as technical architect role developing large-scale systems based on complex integration solutions and server/ cloud-based web application, Automation, IIoT/ Digital Manufacturing Hands on knowledge of IIoT platform (preferably ThingWorx), enterprise-wide deployment architecture Good understanding of various deployment Architecture pros and cons. Deep Understanding of ThingWorx or equivalent user interface, modeling & connectivity technologies, modules & extensions Deep exposure to development, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based applications/ platforms Create ThingWorx or equivalent platform application architecture deliverables that are consistent with architectural principles, standards, methodologies, and best practices Experience/understanding of ISA95 and Industry4.0 components, Analytics, MES, SCADA, PLC, HMI systems Good understanding of various factory protocols and should be comfortable in using PTC kepware technologies in bridging IT/OT convergence Architectures, sensor to gateway/cloud connectivity solutions and Edge server development on ThingWorx or equivalent platform. Good understanding of drivers for edge sensors, device provisioning and protocols. Experience with cloud platforms Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, etc. Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA) and other commercial integrations platform Solid experience in Enterprise-wide production rollout of Thingworx or equivalent platform for highly available business requirement including DR, HA, and security measures to be undertaken for internet facing deployment. Should have implemented / Architected at least 2-3 Projects in this space from Engineering or IT perspective. Very well versed with different design patterns in n-tier architectures Skills and Abilities Pharmaceutical compliance Experience of data analytics, enterprise mobility, SAP Strong communication skills, orally and in writing Agile and waterfall methodologies Understanding of IIOT platforms (knowledge of PTC ThingWorx, Ignition would be a plus) Education: B.E / BTech or Masters in - Electronics/ I.T / Computer Science, MBA
