Structural Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities Prepare and review highway geometry, pavement, drainage, and structural designs in accordance with MoRTH, IRC, NHAI, and relevant international standards. Develop engineering drawings, design calculations, BOQs, and technical specifications for highways, bridges, culverts, flyovers, and retaining structures. Coordinate with survey, geotechnical, traffic, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated design solutions. Review design submissions, shop drawings, and technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements. Provide technical support to construction teams and resolve design-related issues during project execution. Perform quantity estimation, material optimization, and value engineering to improve project efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Ensure compliance with client requirements, statutory regulations, and quality management standards. Monitor design schedules, maintain engineering documentation, and prepare technical reports and design deliverables. Identify engineering risks, evaluate alternative solutions, and recommend practical and economical design improvements. Support tender engineering, technical proposals, and successful project delivery by ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely completion of design activities.
