About the role
As an Automation Test Engineer at our company, you will be a valuable member of the Quality Engineering team, responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software applications across enterprise platforms through scalable automation frameworks. Your expertise in Selenium and API automation testing will be crucial for designing, developing, and maintaining automation scripts for web applications and APIs. You will collaborate with different teams to enable continuous testing, improve product reliability, and enhance automation coverage and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web applications and APIs. - Build and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver with Java or API-based automation approaches. - Perform end-to-end automation testing across functional, regression, and integration testing cycles. - Develop and execute API automation test cases using tools such as REST Assured, Postman, or similar platforms. - Implement Behavior Driven Development (BDD) practices using frameworks such as Cucumber, TestNG, or JUnit. - Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and define effective testing strategies. - Integrate automation suites within CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and faster releases. - Identify defects, analyze root causes, and work closely with development teams for resolution. - Ensure adherence to QA best practices, testing standards, and quality benchmarks. - Participate in code reviews and continuously enhance automation coverage and efficiency. Qualifications Required: - 5-10 years of experience in Automation Testing. - Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver using Java. - Proven expertise in automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, and Cucumber (BDD). - Solid experience in API Automation Testing using REST Assured, Postman, or equivalent tools. - Good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP protocols, and API validation techniques. - Experience with version control systems such as Git. - Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar platforms. - Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). - Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
